A Newspaper Makes the Perfect Disposable Placemat
Today, another sad desk lunch that was not that sad - shrimp in black bean sauce with rice noodles. Cooked in the toaster oven, of course - I’m not a huge fan of using microwaves.

Such a briliant life hack! The simplicity of using newspaper as a placemat really speaks to that old-school practicality that we've kinda lost. I grew up watching my grandma do the same thing when she peeled vegitables at the kitchen table. There's something comforting about these low-tech solutions that just work, yknow?
