Made six 30 ounce containers of bacon mac and cheese to hand out on Rainier Avenue. Each portion is more than enough for two people.
Rolling up on a group and giving it all out at once works well but this time I was distributing it to loners and couples.
Total cost for this microdelivery of mutual aid: $17.35
forks — .10
oyster pail takeout containers — .25
food (bacon, pasta, cheese, spices) — $16
miscellaneous expenses — $1
Electric bikes provide a great way to access people on the street. Imagine a mutual aid organization (not gonna be me) that has a fleet of electric cargo bikes loaded with Narcan, food and other essentials. These cargo bikes can fit way more than the milk crate system Nirvana Wok has going, although I can stack three of them if needed.
Or, going a step further, maybe these mutual aid bikers would be trained for emergency response situations that do not require cops.
