Made a pasta meal for hungry teens: fettuccini, charred green onions, mushrooms, Parm, white wine, and cooked salami. A big hit!
Crabby Pattie experiment a success! Ground up shrimp ( I was out of fresh crabmeat), fresh basil, zukes, egg, lime, spices, croutons (I was out of panko or bread crumbs) fried in ghee (I was out of olive oil) and topped with a squeeze of lemon.
Vifon Hoàng gia ramen was worth a try but the packet of crab paste was not pleasing to my western palate. It was worth a shot.

Dear Nirvana Wok…I LOVE your posts! The recipe for Crabby Patties is super creative. It’s cool how you are undaunted when you are out of ingredients and you just find a substitute and move on. I think most folks who are tentative or uncomfortable when cooking new foods need to adopt the Nirvana Wok Method and REALLY experience Nirvana! I am, however, a bit confused about one thing. In the Rx you say “topped with a squeeze of lemon”; but in the picture you show a lime. Were you also out of lemons and used a lime for the picture or did you mean to say “topped with a squeeze of lime”? Aloha Nui Loa
