Goodbye Plum Tree
Our plum tree has been causing issues for years and it was time for it to go. I saved some pits from this season so perhaps we’ll have another plum tree one day.
Although my $75 corded chain saw paid for itself the day I got it it was no match for this hardwood. Amazing to see how quickly and safely professionals with real chain saws got the job done. I asked them to not clean up because the rabbits love the plum leaves.
The same night we lost the tree I was talking to a board member at my organization who it turns out is a woodworker who makes bowls and would have loved to have gotten a chunk of this valuable hardwood.

The Plums Are Here
We have an overwhelming number of mirabelle plums this year. Our out of control plum tree is producing hundreds. Amazingly, very few of them have wasp contamination.
