Joe Biden's Good Deed

One good thing Joe Biden did during his disastrous four years as one of America’s worst Presidents was hire Lina Khan to chair the FTC, which has had success going after corporate criminal monopolies like Amazon.

Yesterday the FTC announced that they had blocked the merger of grocery giants Kroger and Albertson’s, which would have been a disaster for their unionized employees.

I took this fight personally because I have shopped at our local Kroger-owned QFC store for decades. It’s a shitty, flourescently lit, depressing place full of junk food that is understaffed, where rent-a-cops stand around doing nothing below a surveillance web of hundreds of cameras. But sometimes you just need that jar of mayonaise or something else that is available only at a corporate American supermarket.

Most of the people working at that QFC have been there for years. Not a great job, but a union job. It was on a list of stores that would be shut down by Kroger if the merger was approved.

Also, thank you Joe Biden for not only bringing us Trump version 2, but also encouraging and financing a genoicde that has resulted in the largest massacre of babies in modern times. And great job fueling a scary proxy war with Russia via the corrupt undemocratic nation of Ukraine, with no attempts at diplomacy whatsoever. I could go on but stating the obvious just gets old when one war criminal president after another keeps making things for everyone who is not rich worse, as has been the pattern for my entire life.

An evil, senile old man has brought us closer to nuclear catastrophe than at any time in our history. Unfortunately that description will apply to our incoming President too.
