Pagliacci Pizza Joins Seattle Wage & Tip Theft Hall of Fame - Again
Seattle pizza chain Pagliacci is facing a class action lawsuit for allegedly cheating their drivers out of compensation, and I use the word allegedly with a grain of salt because this is not their first offense.
Pagliacci was created by a local woman that came from a restaurant family that owned some Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises. She sold it to an investor group.
Like many American universities that basically operate as private equity firms and teach students as a side hustle, Pagliacci is a financial instrument that operates a labor exploitation scheme that sells pizza as a side hustle.
Imagine the avaricious arrogance of people that are successfully sued for wage and tip theft and then just continue to keep doing it. It’s repulsive, much like their pizza.*

*Like Starbucks, Pagliacci is a place I won’t go to but I have family members that do, so let them have their fun.

The Seattle Restaurant Wage and Tip Theft Hall of Fame
Cheating workers from their pay is a common practice at restaurants. In Seattle, a new law has helped lawyers win big settlements for wage and tip theft victims.
A mom and pop business engaged in this sort of fraud will probably not get sued, but if your food empire gets too big get ready. Canlis, Tom Douglas, Red Robin, Zeeks Pizza, Lowell's, Great State Burger and Pagliacci have all found out. Who is gonna be next?
