Print Media Decline Makes Me Lose My Appetite
The June/July issue of Bon Appétit recommends that you use “Diamond Crystal or Morton kosher salt” in almost every recipe in the magazine - 23 recipes.
Diamond Crystal is owned by agriculture giant Cargill, and Morton is a different company, but they do business together. This must be undisclosed product placement - to suggest specific brands of salt. They even suggest using Diamond/Morton salt in two recipes that call for soy sauce.
Their ginger garlic cod recipe (see photo) actually looks pretty good. I suggest not using salt at all in that one.
