Sad Breakfast, Fabulous Lunch
Forgot to bring my lunch so I started out the day with a snack made out of some leftover potatoes, eggs and an old sandwich. Didn’t realize the sandwich had mustard on it, so I didn’t eat more than a couple bites.
Lunch was more exciting. Bún chả and rice roll from Saigon Deli - one of the dozen or so Vietnamese delis in the neighborhood. More than one of which is named “Saigon Deli.”
The thin rice vermicelli noodles here came cut in squares that are used to wrap the bún chả and herbs before dunking in the nước chấm. Also came with a too-oily fried spring roll.
