The Buddha Was Not Always Fat
There are some great Buddha sculptures at the Seattle Asian Art Museum and they depict graceful, slender figures. The pudgy, jolly party animal Buddha image is a relatively new invention.
Seen recently at a Seattle tent encampment - someone spray painted a Buddha figurine.
