Every year in late September I like to go steal a handful of tomatoes from our local community garden. There is usually a huge amount of fruit at that point, most of which ends up sitting on the vine and rotting.
This year Seattle had some unusually heavy late-August rain. Enough that it ruined the crop.
Seattle is definitely not a tomato town.
