Hi everybody and apologies for the lack of posts lately. Between raising a bunch of quadrupeds, working at a newspaper factory, podcasting and cooking there hasn’t been much time for anything else. As the Nirvana WOK journalism machine warms back up I’ll tide you over with some random photos.

This halibut in the window of the now abandoned Mutual Fish building looks like he was shot through the heart.
A lone stump outside the UPS terminal in South Seattle. If the volunteer growing on it is any indication this was an oak tree, well over 100 years old. The shelf mushrooms like it.
While my bike was in the shop I was forced to use an (expensive/predatory) Lime electric bike. Note that someone pasted a sticker on this bike that says “BEDBUGS.” If you’re trying to give away a couch out front of your house this is not the sticker you would want on it.
I’m still doing microdonations. This “ground score” will be useful for someone who needs clean shirts and a snack.
HOW A LAWN SHOULD BE: Van was obsessed with mowing his lawn, daily. Now that he’s gone, that soulless monoculture has been replaced with a thriving ecosystem which provides habitat for beneficial insects, bunnies.
